@reconrizz I hear this song and I can hear the hum of the fan in the window, smell the salty smell of clean sweat, hear my wife singing it softly under her breath in case I’m asleep, feel the heaviness of humidity in my chest. I can listen to this on the coldest, meanest January day and make it a hot August night.

@MrRichardSabsay
This song was, and may still be, used as a commercial bumper on Art Bell’s Coast to Coast AM radio program.
I hear it and I remember hot and sticky August nights laying next to my wife on a make shift bed on the living room floor of our 200 year old, no central heating no central air, house listening to the likely crazy but always earnest people calling in to tell stories about ghouls and angels. We were so poor and so happy, and we’re blessed that the happy has remained.

This is a grate song it allways takes me back to a far off land and time.70s art pop at it’s best.A very cool mood in this tune and good git solo and by the way…he sounds like a man.

@FORDCOUNTRY7885
The piano player here made me put my glasses on to be sure that it wasn’t EVH. Go watch the “Jump” video and tell me that, minus the eyes, this fellow wouldn’t fool you in an amphitheater if it were still 1984?
It’s not Eddie, of course, but it goes a long way to explain what spawned that crazy comment.

@dillo
Piano player that looks like EVH? Any idea who he is?
Nice honky tonk variation on the hook that he threw in at the beginning.

@sweetpea3339
He looks like EVH in the “Jump” video circa 1984. As Van Halen plays piano as well as he plays guitar I had to put my specs on to be sure that it wasn’t him.
